A selection of my best work. Take a look around!

ABOUT

I am a UX designer and researcher currently living in Los Angeles. My talents include finding missing pieces, collaborative group work, and talking to people...a lot. I’ve honed some sharp skills in Sketch, and I’m working on sharpening my animation skills in Framer.js. I have a strong desire to leverage technology to create better experiences for users. I love to learn about people, their experiences, and their preferences. I truly believe that in order to create great designs, you have to have a deep understanding of the overall user needs and desires. (And data - oh, how I love data!)

Before becoming a UXer, I worked for both a Mouse and The Man. Both taught me the power of connecting with people and also that surprisingly, full moons do make people silly. I still harbor quite a love for Disney and a hearty appreciation for civil litigation. The latter may be a slight exaggeration, but I can tell you how to sue someone in Michigan for stealing your dog. (Happens more than you think!)

I've been known to feed stray cats outside my apartment (and the occasional possum). I love to read and run long distances, but not generally at the same time. I also occasionally write about my life and sometimes other people write about me. I’m obsessed with TV, old Hollywood, and traveling as much as I can. I'm in a mug club at a brewery in Grand Rapids, and my mug's name is "Emmastone Chipsandcheese." Yes, it's a long story.

Interested in hearing more? My coworkers made me a slideshow when I left my internship in Nashville. I know some pretty fantastic people. You could even say...I have a lot of great F●R●I●E●N●D●S.

CONNECT

Drop me a line! I’ve spent a lot of my UX career working on consulting projects with small teams - which I love! I am also, however, currently looking to expand my experience to larger UX teams full time. I have availability as of January 2017.
